Question: Does anyone know where I can purchase an Ironing Board cover for a 54" Ironing Board?
All the newer Ironing Board covers seem to be 54". This will not work!

Tired of replacing Hot Tub Covers? If you need a new spa cover because your old blanket rigid foam was damaged by elements, consider something different. Those rigid foam filled hot tub covers your local spa dealer is selling you are doomed to end up heavy or broken, no matter how you treat it.
No matter what you are dealing with all vinyl is rated by hours outdoors. Really top quality marine grade vinyl is rated for 1500 hours at the outside. This equates to approximately one hundred days of sunshine. I know what you think, why everybody put vinyl on something that is intended to be used outdoors? But this is not even why stiffer tub covers hot fail.
This usually happens before the vinyl Falls except that the foam is so heavy, you can not lift the spa cover by yourself. No matter how they are packaged and sealed inside the covers will absorb moisture. What happens is the little air spaces in the foam that are supposed to help the spa cover you insulate your hot tub full of moisture. Here's a tip for which the foam covering whole is doomed if you never put the cover on your spa, it would be too thick. If you just take a brand new spa cover and put it on your table to picnics instead of your spa, vinyl collapse before received heavy coverage.
Why? Because water hot spa, is well below the bottom of the rigid foam spa cover. Part of the warm thermal water turns to steam and rises. Vapor molecules are more smaller than water. The steam makes its way into small crevices and spaces in the foam where it condenses into liquid. If you live in an area that gets snow, snow fall on the saturated foam and freeze the water inside.
How? as well as the heat rises, cold sinks. When it comes in direct contact with the foam it freezes moisture. The hot thermal water is not in direct contact with the bottom of the spa cover it is in a battle to lose by trying to beat the cold. Steam rises from the water touches the bottom of the tub cover now frozen, condenses and falls in water below to work as a radiator to cool the water effectively.
You may watch the snow accumulate on your spa cover and frozen you think have a great insulation. But you'd be wrong. Snow is perfectly on a frozen pond as well. This does not mean the pool water is still warm. So why all the world continue to sell rigid foam covers? Well two reasons really. First, it has been the industry standard for nearly thirty years. When spa acrylic began to be sold in the States, it needs to be covered with something to keep debris and help maintain water hot. Foam panels covered with vinyl was cheap and since everyone was selling the same thing that was all they need to offer. Remember definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
The second reason is more serious, in my opinion. Spa Dealers know that coverage, they send you home with will be replaced again because he will end the same as you replace it now. They know that each years like clockwork couple that you will need to have another blanket if you plan to use your spa on a regular basis. So replacing Hot Tub Covers are a great part of their business.
