Wind Tunnel

Question: Name for a place where wind 'passes through' (sounds like it should be 'wind tunnel' but it isn't)?
I really need to know what it's called. I'm writing a description of a rickety old house which is situated in a 'wind tunnel' and every five minutes is assailed by a violent gust.
