Question: green poop- change in diet? also, stained cloth diapers?
I breastfeed exclusively and I was told that baby has allergies as he was having streaks of blood in his poop. So now I've stopped eating almost everything as I'm off soy, dairy and eggs. I eat lots of cereal (breakfast, lunch and as a snack), tuna and fruits. Baby's poop is now a moss green color 90% of the time. Besides foremilk/hindmilk imbalance, could it be because of my diet change? Cereal has iron and I'm taking in lots plus its in my multivitamin pills. Can too much iron pass into breastmilk (I've heard too much iron from formula causes green poop). The poop is also staining my cotton cloth diapers, something that never happened with his mustard colored poop. Whats going on and is this ok?
Any recipe suggestions for a diet like mine?
Answer: I have a baby that is diary intolerant. She was diagnosed by a pediatrician as they found white blood cells in her stools. However, the most obvious sign/symtoms was green poo that became watery green poo with streaks of bloods (mucous is what the blood sticks to). The mucous indicates that the digestive system is irritated. She displayed very painful abdominal pains when it reached its peak.
Now, I'm on a strict diet under the supervision of a allergy dietitian so that I may continue breastfeeding (I stopped and went on the bottle for two weeks and cried the entire time until I went milk pumping crazy and got my breastmilk back - whatever you do, don't go down that road).
I suspect the green poo is related to the foods you are eating but not the iron in your cereal. Their are hidden diary in everything that is processed even the flavouring on crackers for example. Buy the recipe book Friendly Foods written by the RPA Allergy Clinic (in Australia - it has imperial measurements as well to suit those in the US). It will help you make good food choices and continue giving your baby the greatest gift you are giving your baby...breastmilk.
Initially I stopped all possible allergens diary, soy, wheat, eggs, fish, nuts, even all fruits (except pears) and most veges (it's the salicylates and amines in them people can react to) and preservatives (all chemical numbers on the back of packaged foods at the shops)...now I'm eating small amounts of wheat/gluten, fish and very small amounts of preservates. I've reintroduced all fruits and vegetables back with no problems. You will learn alot about how to cook for your baby not just now but you will ensure you offer your baby home cooked foods which no processed food can equate. It's really a blessing in disguise

The staining is possibly the breakdown of something in their intestines because they also stained my babies clothes when I was consuming diary.

Recognizing a dog allergy symptom and its treatment is an option we have today, we do not need to separate our best friend over because of allergies.

Treating the symptoms of allergy dog
Since allergy dog is basically common allergy, but triggered by your dog, drugs used are the same used to cure allergies regular.
* Antihistamines they help reduce sneezing, runny nose, itchy watery eyes. A tip useful antihistamines work best when used before exposure to an allergy.
* Decongestants help temporarily to clear stuffy nose. They are best used for a short period, or you may irritate your nose and causing the cycle again.
* Nasal steroid sprays, which reduces the nasal tissue reaction to inhaled allergens, helping to reduce swelling in the nose. This is available only by prescription.
* Cromolyn Sodium This is a great nasal spray that helps the body to react to allergens. This service is available over the counter and is best used before being exposed to allergens.
Dog allergy symptoms is painful any other allergies. Some dog allergies can be controlled and some can not, it's for your doctor to decide. I am sure that no dog lovers will give up their dog because of symptoms of allergy dog without trying everything possible to keep that person.
