In the Western world, historically in this part of the world, women wore dresses and skirts as garments while men have worn (pants). In the late 1800s, women began to wear pants for industrial work. During the Second World War, women wore trousers of their husbands then they have on employment, and in 1970, pants has become particularly fashionable for women. Today, pants are doing much more often than skirts by women, and many women wear pants almost all the time.
Although pants for women in Western countries do not become fashion items until the late 20th century, women began to wear men's trousers (suitably amended) for outdoor work a hundred years earlier.
Girls Wigan pit brow scandalized Victorian society by wearing trousers for their hazardous work in coal mines. They wore skirts over their trousers and rolled to the waist to keep them off the track.
Women working in the ranches of the 19th Century American West also wore trousers for riding, and Aviatrices in the early 20th century and other working women often wore trousers. Actresses Marlene Dietrich and Katharine Hepburn were often photographed in trousers in the 1930s and helped make trousers acceptable for women. During World War II, women working in factories and doing other forms of "Men's work "on war service wore trousers when the work required, and in the postwar casual wear trousers became acceptable for gardening, the beach and other recreation.
In Britain during the Second World War, due to the rationing of clothing, many women began to wear civilian clothing to their spouses, including their pants to work while their husbands were absent in the armed forces. This is due partly because they were regarded as practical garments of workwear, and partly to allow women to keep their pay clothing for other uses. As the practice of wearing trousers became more widespread and that men's clothing worn, replacements are necessary, so that by summer 1944, it was reported that sales of women's trousers were five times more than the year prev.
In the 1960s, Andre Courreges introduced long trousers for women as a fashion item, leading to an era the pantsuit and designer jeans and the gradual erosion of the prohibitions against girls and women who wear trousers to school, work, and excellent restaurants.

Question: How do Electrolux refrigerators and ranges comare to other manucturers?
I am about to buy the EW23BC70IS french door style fridge and the EW30GF65GS Range by Electrolux. Every store I've been to the sales rep seems to recommend this product. How do they compare with brands such as GE, LG, Kitchen Aid, ect... Is it worth a little extra $ to buy this product knowing that it is made in Germany and needs to be built to high standards? The Viking/Wolf products are a little more than we need (We are not top chefs).
All you appliance experts I need your help.....
Answer: Consumer Reports does a fairly exhaustive review of these products each year. Subscribe or hit the library to consider their reviews.
What is "worth it" to one, my not be to another person. Get an objective feature and quality based evaluation.

The types of refrigerators
Side-by-side refrigerators
Side-by-side are those who bring fresh food at eye level in the refrigerator. When examines a side-by-side, you must take care of the capacity and interior flexibility. In some models, the compartments are narrower than those you at the top or bottom mount models. As a result, you may not accommodate larger items or packages you frequently store. Most refrigerators are top-mount 60 inches to 69 inches tall. Because of their configuration, top mounts offer more capacity than other models. Eye-level cabinets also provide easier access to food stored in the freezer.
Bottom Freezer
Bottom-mount freezers are not as extensively as other types of refrigerators today. But most major manufacturers now offer at least one model. The bottom-mount design is a good option for households who prefer a selection of food fresh eye.
The dimensions of bottom-mount refrigerators are generally the same as the top larger frames.

Question: WHat shirt should I wear with my late '60s hot pants or mini skirt and my go go boots?
i am planning on short shorts or skirt and boots and long hair with a headband. I am a character in a play from 1969.
Answer: If you are looking to go retro, the one most popular top we wore with the mimiskirt was a stretch knit turtleneck pullover. It was called a shell and it zipped at the back neck. Polyester was just beginning to rear its ugly head. It was usually ribbed so that it fit easily and clung to our cute slender bods and our playtex living bras stuck out. There was usually a long beaded necklace that wrapped around a time or two. We called it a granny necklace. Wow! Do you bring back the memories. All of us who weren't skinny as poles looked horrendous. Then, thank god, came the granny dress and the midi! And, Yardley cosmetics were the rage. Lip glass in little pots were where it was at. It was so Groovy! No pantyhose. Garter belt and fishnets! We just knew we looked great. I'm so smiling. Gold star on ya!

The worst day for a woman who wears size 12 + is the day when she must find a new pair of pants. Most of us take a Xanax and go at home in tears. So here are some proven tips to find the right fit faster and hopefully without two days of recovery. style clothing in any form is dictated by the shape of your body, until you look at your body realistically all styles are lost.
If you have short legs, do not wear shorts. This means that no-petal pushers, clam-diggers, cultures, Capri, or even some skirts and shorts. Sorry babe, they just do not give your body the justice it deserves. cropped pants or rolled to make your body seems to squat, which will also make it seem larger than it is. On the same play that you should avoid anything baggy. Like enormous t-shirt in your wardrobe, baggy feel spacious and comfortable and you're right that we can not see any rolls or pudge ... we can not see the everything. You might as well wear a sack of potatoes. Your skin pants should never be tight, but leave your shell enough for the world to see the true form of your beautiful legs. Look for something with a little stretch built so they move and look with you. This part of your figure you want to use to your advantage. If you have wide hips or thighs, baggy pants and not short them look bigger. Look for a small flare or boot cut, which reduces the lines.
Long legged girls, here's your shout out! They rock, baby! Cultures, ultra long lengths, Boot cuts, Capri, and even the role of fats in the ankle Look hot. Lucky $%^&*. Concern spots here are the thighs, waist and hips. You do not look like a giant. baggy pants still good idea either. Imagine the woman you see on the market with a shirt and some 2x baggy sweats. Do you really want to duplicate the look for you? Face it, baggy pants only look good on women who wear a size 2 and tops, ABS with steel. They are for women who want to show the navel and never need to wear them. If you ask me, baggy trousers should never have been designed or sold in the first place.
Colored pants. Are the exception to the rule clear colors. This is NOT area to add a touch of purple or leopard print. Stick to the basics. matching suits are great, but not very versatile. Jeans are just jeans. We are not in the 80 plus years, so shy away from the stone washed numbers with rhinestones or torn knees. Even with jeans, a May Lycra little help, but much is unforgivable. Slacks work best in dark colors or maybe pin stripes. Dark, dark, dark. Who wants to wear a pair of white pants on the wrong day anyway? Pants have a light time and place, but the place does not have the body of a woman over size. Love them? Carry color as a short skirt or elegant casual. No pants.
Cut is more important to everyone. Measure your waistline and only purchase the corresponding measure. When you measure, imagine where your trousers should match your height. If you are not a supermodel, do not dress as such. Hip huggers are dangerous. We do not see your navel, stretch marks or muffin top. Let the muffins on the shelf. The Granny pants tall are not better. They make your hips and waist Look bigger and Look after your flat. On the other hand, if you look back as your pants were painted on, they do not match. Try another cup. with pants be sure that the lenth is long enough to hit the top of the sole of your shoe. This way you do not walk on the cuff, but they are not in your shins when you sit. Make sure pants legs to show your current form, but then just slightly rounded, after the knee or mid-calf. Above all, they are not good if you do not support one way or suck, then go get one Another pair of 30 to try and DO NOT GIVE UP! Remember that vodka can be either a friend or a soothing kick celebration. For events special set of shiny gold pants away and get your skirts. We are women after all!
