Question: parked in a small parking space,and made 2 small scratches on another car.will insurance cover?

and please... dont listen to people saying your rates will skyrocket. this is a itty bitty minor accident and will likely not have a huge effect.

even the smallest repair usually cost 500-1000 and also keep in mind you would owe them a rental. i highly doubt your insurance rate increase will be anywhere near that!

file a claim and let the professionals handle it- thats what they are there for.

Small is beautiful when it comes to Indian car market. Although the Indian automotive market is not as developed compared to Japan and Brazil, but the small car segment is in vogue now-a-days. Global Auto companies like Hyundai and Honda and premises such as Tata and Maruti are about to launch small car models on Indian roads. The launch of Tata Rs. 1 lakh car has revolutionized this market. It was past four years, auto enthusiasts in India have been waiting for the launch of ultra low cost Rs. 1 lakh car from Tata Motors.

Two thirds of India more than one billion people earn less money than their urban counterparts. Small cars would certainly be affordable for these buyers potential in India. The automotive industry is committed and is currently in the process of investing over Rs 70.000 crore in India, of which 65% is directed the production of small cars.

To be a hub for small cars, there are essentially four main requirements:

1. India should be in the top two countries, the production of small cars in the world.

2. Small cars should have a high share of the domestic market.

3. Exports of small cars should be an important part of the global market.

4. Development and use of new technologies and manufacturing processes in India, which would sustain this leadership over time.

There can be no question of compliance with the requirement first. Despite the small no. production, India is the third largest producer of small cars after Japan and Brazil. Small cars make up also over 71% of the domestic market.

India will continue to be primarily a market for small cars. Given forecasts current for the Nano, India could easily become the second largest market for small cars in the world and eventually to become perhaps the place preferred, thereby fulfilling the second condition. Last year, 192,745 passenger cars were exported from India.

Especially, the percentage of small cars exported was higher than the percentage share of production. However, India does not take into account a significant share of exports of small cars, thus currently not meeting the third condition. This may change.

There have been many developments in the space of small cars in India. The global premiere of the Hyundai I.10 is in India. It is proposed to make India a manufacturing hub for the Main I.10. Prototypes of other models for both Indian and global markets, have been shown at Auto Expo.

Maruti Suzuki plans to make India the hub for the manufacture and export of the A Star, while Nissan has announced its intention to make India an export base. Bajaj has introduced a prototype small car. Fiat, Ford, GM, Honda, Skoda and Volkswagen also made announcements on small projects car.

The new patentable technologies and methods are used in the development of the Tata Nano. If she is able to make his way in the marketplace world, and its export can give a respectable share of the global market for India. Nano is also an environmentally friendly product and drive safely.
