Dust Cloths

How to Kindle your love of e-reading
My husband slid the Christmas present across the table sheepishly. “You’re going to hate it. But sort of love it.” I pulled off the paper. An Amazon Kindle.

More on Dust Cloths:
Canadian Air Systems Co. is a manufacturer well known systems of Industrial Dust collection. Dust collecting equipment is available in many designs using a number of principles and featuring wide variation in effectiveness, initial cost, operation and maintenance costs, space, facilities and construction materials.
One of the more commonly used collector is Fabric Dust Collector dust.
Stop fabric are high performance, medium cost collectors. The effectiveness of passing air or gas through a fabric at low velocity has been recognized and used for many years in air cleaning devices. The tissue is placed in an envelope or tubular (storage) forms. If the removal appears to take place by action of the color media in the collection of dust is actually obtained by creating a mat of material on the dirty side of the press. This mat provides the actual filtering or straining bed. Through this bed a high degree of removal is obtained even on sub-micron particles.
The dust collectors are widely used in industry for a wide range of applications. They require more space than most other types of devices for cleaning air, necessiating outdoor installation in most cases
The fabric used is a specially wooven cotton, although wool, paper, glass cloth and synthetic fabrics may be used in some applications. In recent years glass cloth is now used throughout because of the treatment of silicone and fiberglass Use of reverse flow techniques for cleaning. Silicone treatment provides a lubricant between the fibers and increases the life of the fabric.
Fabric collectors are limited to air conditions dry enough to prevent condensation or free moisture deposition on the fabric. With hygroscoping materials, there will be a tendency liaison between particles and fabric under high relative humidity even in the absence of condensation occurs. Maximum temperature recommended for the cotton fabric is 180 F, for wool 200 F. Higher temperatures can be manipulated using synthetic materials, including nylon or Orlon fabrics and fabrics of glass and, occasionally, fine metallic mesh. The synthetic fabrics used to be Mau 300 F while glass cloth is acceptable to 550 F.
That dust is collected on the fibric, resistance to air flow increases. Periodically, the fabric must be reconditioned by shaking, vibration, reverse jet or reverse-flow collapse which agitates suffitiently to remove the bulk of adhering material allowing it to drop into the hopper of the dust. In most collectors air flow must be stopped during reconditioning, otherwise disseminate materials will be re-trained and redeposit on the fabric. Sufficient dust must adhere to the fabric to maintain the dust mat needed for maximum efficiency; therfore, after reconditioning the pressure drop is significantly higher than the loss through the fabric again.
Rate of flow through the media varies by type of dust collector, application and dust concentration. The ratings are usually selected so pressure drop should not exceed 5 "WG. The smallest particle, the more rapid rise of resistance for a given load. For the same rate of air flow and loading of dust, rising resistance increases in direct proportion to the time.
Some types Dust collectors for spesific fabric manufactured by the Canadian Air Systems Co. are:
- Intermittent-Duty Fabric Collectors
These types of May use either envelope or arrangement of storage stuff, but will generally employ shaking or vibration as a means of re - state. Periodically Uusually 4 to 6 hours intervals0 air flow must be stopped reprocessing effect - hence the classification "Intermittent".
- Multiple-section, continuous duty, Automatic Fabric Collectors
The disadvanteges to stop the flow of air to allow vibration and changes in airflow can be overcome by using machetes which allows continuous operation of the exhaust system as automatic dampers periodically take a section out of service for reconditioning the fabric while the remaining sections to the volume of gas as a whole.
- Reverse-Jet Fabric Collectors
The reverse-jet type differs from the classical arrsters in its use of air at high pressure to clean the fabric. One type uses high pressure air (30 "- 40" WG) Froma traveling "Ring punch" to dislodge the cake collected from inside the tube of fabric. Another type uses high pressure compressed air (100 PSI) to break the cake of dust from outside fabric tube or envelope by the intermittent application of reverse-jet compressed air.
- Reverse-Flow Collapse, Continuous-Duty Collectors
Reverse-flow collapse cleaning is generally used with glass media which is fragile and requires a gentle cleaning technique. Invert glass flow provides a breakdown of soft fabric usually in a "four" star's brake dust cake falling under gravity in the hopper.
