Question: How to get mini DV information onto my computer?

I need to get something I recorded with my camera (onto a mini DV) onto my computer and then onto a CD/DVD. What is the best way for me to get the video onto my computer? Do I have to hook my camera up to my computer with a USB cord? Thanks!

Answer: All miniDV camcorders use something called "firewire" aka "iLink" aka "IEEE 1394" to transfer video to the computer. What you need to do is first check whether your computer has a firewire port. This can be obtained from the specifications section of the manual or the manufacture. Note they may refer to it by any one of the above names.

Its not a hard thing to do by any means, however if you are uncomfortable most stores, in particular Best Buy, will install the firewire card for a nominal fee. Once you know that your computer has a firewire port the next step is to purchase a 6 pin to 4pin firewire cabe. As most computers have 6pin (large) firewire connectors you have to buy a cable to step it down to the (small) 4 pin connector that is found on your camcorder. Question: I need some help picking a cellphone, my two choices are Razr V3T, and Sanyo Katana. Which one?

Ok, so I've narrowed it down to these two. I can't get the Razr R2, cause its too expensive, and these two phones fit what i'm looking for, and the price range. So, I need some quick reviews on these two phones, and which one u think is best. Right now, I'm leaning toward the Razr. So what you think?

Answer: It depends what you are looking for in a phone. The Razr has bluetooth, still camera, video camera, it's Pixelated and everything, plus the battery last nearly 3x as long as the other phone. But the Sanyo is flashy. You can get it if you like flashy.
Personally though. I want this phone.

Home Made Cleaners: Cheap, easy, Earth Friendly ... and aromatic!

Home Made Aromatherapy Spray Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 teaspoon borax
• 1 / 4 cup vinegar
• 2 cups water
• 30 drops of essential oil

Directions

Boil water. Pour it into a measuring cup or a large glass pitcher with a spout. Add borax and stir until dissolved. Add vinegar. Let cool, then pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Drop in oil essential.

Note: Add the essential oils after you pour the cleaner into the bottle of perfume as the essential oil can "stick" to your measuring cup or pitcher.

Caution: Do not use this recipe to clean windows, mirrors or glass, it will cause streaks. The secret of the house spraying glass is just using vinegar and essential oils. Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar, drop some essential oils and voila! a fat-cutting, without streaks, aromatic glass cleaner!
