Question: white stuff in stainless steel sink?

hello,
i have got white stuff around my handle in my stainless steel sink.
is that lime, rust? I have used products like tilex. but it does not go away?
any advice?

Answer: its calcium build-up. you can use a product called Bar Keepers Friend.. it is a really hany cleaner to have around...just follow the directions on the can.. it is great for removing rust and kool-aid stains off of counter-tops too...
