Disinfectant Spray

Question: our cat has a small, circular sore near his ear. his brother cleans and we use a spray disinfectant, but...?
any help is appreciated!
Answer: Here are some questions i have my self for you, Is the cat scratching at the spot alot. Does it look like it is oozy and infected. Does there apear to be a small round red ring visible. Sort of rash like. If so you need to go to the vet it may be ringworm. it IS VERY CONTAGouse and will need treament to get better.
