Question: Christians why do we let food rot on shelves & in storage while people go hungry?
Why do we let houses and apartments sit empty in disrepair while our brothers and sisters go homeless? Why do we toss out unfashionable clothes or spend fortunes on fancy clothing while many go about in rags? Why do we let people be lonely and alone while we have time to waste? I am as guilty of these things as any other. I am asking myself these questions too.

Ever do something for somone for no good reason. Do something for someone else for nothing, not even for a good reason. do something for someone else just to do something for someone else not even for a good feeling.
I think you can see the problem, by the answers you are getting. Lack of understanding. This is due to a lack of leadership and the political will to do something. Just as pride goes before a fall, before change comes prayer, and we need to dreatically change.
As for BarrelBottom, wlak downtown, you may not even have to go downtown in someplaces. Look fo the fitst person you see pushing a shopping cart, you know those ones you make fun of or ignore, and hand the food from your shelf to them.
Pretty simple procedure.
I thnk that takes care of the distribution. Next, you buy a sandwich for lunch, buy two, walk up to the first dirty person talking to themsleves and hand it to them, distrbution is not the problem it's very simple, having the will is the problem. It's not about chocies it's about action. It's mnot about choosing the right thing, it's about doing the right thing.
