Question: Help Quick! Steam Cleaning Upholstery! Forgot to buy "anti foam", but have reg. carpet Cleaning Solution...ok?
We rented a rug doctor steam cleaner to do the carpets and couches. There's a little tag on the handle of the upholstery cleaning tool that says "Use anti-foam cleaner". Well, I didn't see that tag in the store, of course! I have the carpet Cleaning Solution, it does not say that it is foaming....so is it ok? Is there some other household solution I should make and use? What should I do? It's storming and I don't want to run back to the store again!
Answer: I use the rug doctor too for my carpets and furniture. I have used the regular carpet shampoo and have had no problems with it. Also, if you have Oxy Clean, you can use it in place of the carpet cleaner.
