Pads Black

Question: why are the pads of dogs feet black and the pads of cats feet are pink? why the difference.?
Answer: Dogs need tougher padding because the maintain a gene in them from the wolves that used to hunt all of the time on the hard tough ice. The dogs have these pads still because when they were domesticated, they always were used to work for their owners in some way. On the other hand, wild cats like lions, tigers and many other of them have the same black rough padding as our dogs and wolves of today showing that they needed it to also not irritate their feet while hunting. Even if you see hunting like behavior in you domestic house cats today, they were never really used to work for the humans, beside catch mice on ships and other places. The dogs retained their rough feet because they are more active than the domestic cats of today (no offense cat owners). The cats of today do not have as much as a energetic attitude as dogs.
Another theory is that since cats descended from the wild cats of upper Africa and lower Asia, the smaller wild cats had no rough padding at all. This is probably because they did not catch very large prey at all and didn't have to chase it far to catch it. This made their feet stay pink and soft and that is why some species of feline only have softer feet. Dogs descended from wolves and probably inherited the same energetic attitude they had. The smaller wild cats did not need much energy to catch such small easy meals. All they needed was quick reflexes. Wolves, on the otherhand needed alot of energy to take down moose, carribu and other large animals. They needed the rough padding on their feet so they won't get irritated and infected. The same goes for the big cats like lions, tigers, leopards and the others.

More on Pads Black:
The brakes are the most important part of your vehicle, hands down. It is essential for yours and everyone else's personal safety to ensure that your brakes are working properly. You should not be afraid to change your brakes, but you should be comfortable with your skills. If you do not know the difference between a head and a Phillips screw driver, flat head, you must bring your car to a mechanic.
Preparation Tips:
Take time to familiarize yourself with the brakes before you start working on your car. Also work on one side both. So if you mess up you can refer to the other side.
Obviously, you can buy the carpet before you start. But where you buy? Cheap generic carpets wear out quickly and even though you may spend less money now you'll end up spending more time and money in the long term. More expensive pads are less prone to leave the front wheels covered in unsightly black dust.
Changing the Pads:
1. Tighten the parking brake put something behind the rear tires so the car can not move.
2. Loosen lug nuts around the wheel.
3. Raise the car with a jack and secure it on jack stands.
4. Remove the nuts and wheel.
5. Now you can see the brake calipers holding the brake pads in place against the rotor. There are two pads per wheel that squeeze the rotor. Use a C-clamp to compress the caliper piston in the caliper housing. This will allow the Assembly to remove the caliper and create enough space for the width increased DBP new brake pads.
6. Mounting bolts unbolt the caliper and remove the caliper rear rotor. Be careful do not bend or break the brake hose. Sometimes the mounting bolts of the caliper force you to use a torx or star bit instead of a normal setting. Plan in advance and make sure you have the right tools for the work that you will win a trip for storing parts of the front brakes are disassembled.
7. Remove the brake pads the caliper. Examine them for unusual or uneven wear. Is that a carpet worn? The pads worn on an angle? These could be signs of problems that must be addressed immediately.
8. It is also a good time to examine the state rotors. If they have deep grooves, or if your car shudders when you hit the brakes, then you will need to get the rotors turned or replaced.
9. Install the new pads in the caliper. Usually, it is preferable to place the first inner CCA, then the outer pad second. You may have to push the piston fully into the housing of the caliper to provide sufficient space for the new pads.
10. Once the pads are properly seated in the caliper, put the caliper back on the rotor and bolt firmly in place.
11. If everything is correct, you may placed on the rear wheel, hand tighten the lug nuts and lower the car floor. Finish tightening the nuts in a star so they still are.
Replacing your pads is fairly simple if you know what you do and having the right tools. If this is your first time you may want call Buddy a more just to make sure not to skip a step. Important: test your brakes before taking your car in traffic. Stop and start few times just to make sure everything is installed correctly.
