Question: how can i make a cake rise w/out it forming the dome on top?
i see so many pic.s of them flat on top, but whenever i make one, it always has a dome on top. i have sliced the dome off before, & ive read about putting some kind of weight on top of things like pie crusts to keep the middle from bubbling up(dont really have anything to weigh those things down though, plus this isnt a pie.) but isnt there an easier way?? is there an ingredient i could put in it to make it rise evenly?
Answer: old school trick, take strips of cloth about 2 inc folded , soak in ice water, just before putting pan in oven, this can be tricky it takes pratice. wring out the strips and pin them around the pan tightly, as the cake cooks the cooler sides cooks slower and the center stays lower. i have won many blue ribbons for my baking skills.( they also sell these premade in gormet stores with magnets in them)

Linking Dubai with its fantastic climate and all-year round sunshine with a skiing holiday is probably not the norm for most people. However Dubai is full of surprises and contradictions of having a ski resort in the desert was one that captured the imagination and this project has been inaugurated in December 2005.
Not only has he been a huge success, but it continues to attract residents and tourists mass on a daily basis. But it is never too crowded because it can accommodate up to 1,500 people at once. Dubai Ski Dome, it is easy for visitors because it provides all the necessary equipment for a day on the slopes. Full of thermal skiwear and skiing, sledding equipment panels and snow are just some of the equipment available to make this day a great for any large family.
Ski Dubai is located in the Mall of the Emirates fabulous. You can not miss it because it overlooks the rooftops with 400m of the slope and is the only black on the inside run in the world. For less experienced (and not to panic because there are more gentle slopes to try) and for the beginners ski lessons are available on request. Overall, the resort offers 5 different ski slopes in varying degrees and length. Snow boarding and snowboarding are also available for children, there is a space sled is also great for young people.
Ski Dubai uses real snow created by conditions in the dome. More 6,000 tons of snow that, if the thermal clothing is a real necessity if you want to spend time here.
To complete the day in the Alps at the foot of the resort are the restaurants in Alpine style, where you can eat fondue or sip a glass of mulled wine. Apres-ski is always a big part of any skiing holiday and the Mall of the Emirates, they really made it happen!
'Dubai Sunny Mountain Ski Resort is another innovative project because to open in Dubailand in 2008. Due to the success of the Ski Dome Dubai, Dubai is also building a huge dome housing a ski running surface, which meander through the artificial mountain ranges. To make the experience of the Arctic has a real ', included in this attraction will house Penguin Aquarium Arctic, cold and hot spa bath and many others for making this fantastic experience of the Arctic in the desert. Dubailand is being built today and is an attraction that will really compete with all the Disney parks.
