Question: Good Or Bad for my face?

Hey, I'm a 15 year old male, I have mild acne, recently it hasn't been bad, But it's still Kinda there, and it bothers me, So i started to Steam my face. ( Boiling water in pot, putting my face over it, covering the pot and my head with a towel so the steam stays in type thing ) Anyways! After im done that for about 10 minutes i run and splash my face with some cold water and dry off. Then i put Hand Sanitizer on my face? It may sound odd but i figured it cleans bacteria and dirt, it would work right? But i want to know if its bad for my skin, Will it do anything to it? I do this everyday to. Its been a week since i started. Should i do it a lot less frequently? Thanks
