Brush Head

Question: The brush-head on my Oral B Sonic toothbrush is stuck & I want to change it...?
How can I get it off without breaking it? I don't see any kind of levers or things to press to release it, I thought it just pushed on and pulled off? Have been trying for days! Any ideas?

I'm pulling it and it just won't budge. It's sparkling clean. Maybe something inside got bent when I dropped it the other day? It still works fine. OK, I'll keep on pulling at it. Thanks to all those of you who gave the helpful sensible answers.Answer: Good luck, buddy!

There are four main types of eating disorders, but not all are classified as food addictions. Anorexia and Bulimia are defined as disturbances, while compulsive overeating and binge eating are generally classified as food addictions. But what exactly is the basis for food addiction? Is there a substance in a particular food that creates the chemical dependency to it, making them eat uncontrollably? Well, many adherents of the disease model of addiction brain would have you believe exactly that! In theory, the impaired function of dopamine a neurotransmitter in the brain associated with pleasure and reward is thought to be directly related to food dependency. And this so-called function poor, could make some people more vulnerable to compulsive overeating. In addition, they suggest that certain foods cause more reward brain than others. Therefore, they are addictive! In other words, rich in fat, sugar foods such as donuts are more addictive than soup! In reality, there are many innocuous substances and activities that affect the brain such as sugars, amino acids, and exercise same. However, this does not mean they are the cause of food addiction! Although no official definition of food dependency, many describe it in much the same way as other substance dependence: "Eating too much despite consequences, even disastrous consequences for health, worrying about food, food preparation and meals; attempts and failure to reduce food intake; feel guilty about cravings and overeating.
Now, if you do not already guessed, at this point, I disagree vehemently with the above hypothesis nonsense! In my opinion, there is no such thing as an addiction to food! This conjecture is nothing more than an opportunity for the community pharmacological for the manufacture of a new miracle cure for something that does not exist and is an absolute absurdity at its best! As with all addictions and coercion, food addiction is a misuse of emotional distress. So in that sense there really anything to say to the expression "Comfort food!" As a coach of addiction recovery that has traveled across the United States has helped hundreds of people overcome addiction, I discovered the cause of eating disorders and food addictions. You see, there is a common denominator at the root of these evils, and it is called low self-esteem! Time and again, these self-esteem is based in the emotional distress caused by none other than family dysfunction. The debilitating effects verbal abuse, physical and sexual abuse, or control and inadequate parenting spray literally self-esteem. Therefore, the key to overcome an addiction to food is to be free of maladaptive behaviors and restore self-esteem.
Both Binge Eaters and Compulsive Overeaters tend to be obese, even if the characteristics of compulsive overeating differs from bulimia. Overeaters May compulsive overeating in one sitting, but many of them eat all day. Most Compulsive Overeaters find dieting unsuccessful since emotional distress prevents them from joining a plan for weight loss. Their feeding patterns are directly related to their emotions. In essence, Eating is used to comfort and distract from the eating disorder to their emotional pain. Compulsive Overeaters and drunkenness Eaters hiding often behind their physical appearance, using weight gain as a shield against the company. In their mind, this extra layer of padding protects their self-esteem and fragile also discourages others, to interact socially with them. They feel inadequate, the shame of being overweight, and generally a very low self-esteem.
One of the most common mainstream approaches to compulsive overeating is Overeaters Anonymous, which has adopted the philosophy 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. The program is a spiritual transformation, but paradoxically, the program tends to focus on defects character, staff is short, and a confession of impotence. This approach leads to self-incrimination, and it effectively prevents a spiritual connection. A level Compulsive Overeaters self-esteem is generally responsible, why teach them self-incrimination and self-pity? I think that to admit you are powerless does not promote accountability, nor does it restore self-esteem! In my opinion, many of the twelve steps are unnecessary and cons-productive recovery of addicts. In fact, most people get stuck in their emotional wounds and contract what I call wounditis (victimization.) Combine that with the weakening of labeling someone as Addict food or compulsive binge eater and you have a recipe for disaster self-esteem.
Best wishes,
David Roppo
