Question: Why is it with everyone "going green" I cannot find a good clothespin bag for hanging out laundry?

I live in a small town, grew up hanging out clothes (even in winter). My dryer recently died and I was without one for a month, with 4 kids. So I was literally hanging out all the clothes. I don't really mind hanging out clothes but cannot find a large, durable, clothespin bag. The one I have from Wal-mart, the only store in our area that even carries them, is made out of this weird mesh type fabric and ends up ripping. I don't leave the bag out in the weather either. K-mart and Martha Stewart doesn't have them, nor does anyone else. If you get a young store sales person, they don't even act like they know what I am talking about. You would just think with everyone wanting everyone else to go green and conserve energy that you could find a clothespin bag!

Answer: Believe it or not, I found one at the local hardware store (I live in a small town too). Or you can make one from an empty ice cream bucket. Just detach one end of the handle to hang it on the line and then reattach it. Instant clothes pin bucket!

Reuse whatever you can:

* Gift bags or wrapping paper, or wrap in the comics newspaper.
* Journal use to wash your windows.
* Buying things garage sales and second hand stores, if possible.

* Think of something before throwing in the trash. Perhaps this may have a new home or a new use. Perhaps the empty egg carton could be used in the next package you send to a loved the packaging. It is light enough.

Reduce your consumption fuel by:

* Do not let your car sit and idle.
* Keep your tires properly inflated.
* Keep your air filter clean.
* Take a few more walks.
* Carpool. (it's more fun)

* Everything is off when not used.

* Unplug which can be disabled (which is better because a lot of things that consume energy just by being plugged in.

Reduce water consumption by:

* Take showers instead of baths new showerheads that are effective
* Turn off the tap when brushing teeth
* Only full loads of laundry
* Water your lawn early in the morning or late evening

Recycle everything possible:

* The majority of paper products and cardboard

* Cans and bottles (be careful not to recycle items containing chemicals, for example, bottles of bleach)

* Oil from cars and tires

Question: where can I find a plastic clip / fastner that clips into female part. It ususally is on a strap of somekind.

I have a duffel bag that is 24" long, 1" wide and 1" in height.
I also have a messenger back I use for school.

Will I be able to carry *both* of these on board? I'm unsure as to whether the duffel bag will be able to fit in the overhead bin or not.

Answer: pretty sure...those openings are like 16" wide....and if you get on early you can secure your spot in the overhead by getting your stuff in there early.
