Question: Above Ground Pool Vacuum PSI drops from 12 PSI to 3 PSI and isn't picking up anything in pool. Please advise.

I have a 24' round above ground pool.
This is 5th summer.
Pump and filter are new and on 2nd season.
Winterized everything well.
New hoses and secure connections with no leaks.
Took apart and put new sand in filter last summer.
Tried 2 different vacuum hoses - same problem.
Do I need new vacuum head? Any recommendations?
I read a vacuum head with wheels is better than standard one with brushes.
Don't know why I'm losing so much pressure.
Never had this problem before.
No blockages in hoses.
Already backwashed.
Chlorinator is set to FULL.
I primed the pump.
The rubber seal is secure in the lid of pump.
No petcock.
Pressure is good (12 psi) when pump is running normally or in Rinse cycle.
Please help!!!
The vacuum head is a year old with bristles still long and straight.

Answer: if its a brush vacuum,maybe suctionn is pulling it down and bristles are worn out,causing it to stick to bottm

Question: Have you ever been stopped by CHP AND then what happened to you?

Has anyone ever been taken to the chp office for additional eye test after passing all the regular test for dui? how does this sound... pulled over in Stockton, passed all their test, and then taken to the CHP office off Highway 99 (Stockton, CA) led into their BROOM/WATER HEATER closet with the lights off and told not to open my eyes, had one officer squat between my legs telling me to "relax", the other pushed me down on the chair by placing his hand on my breast!! . all the while telling me to keep my eyes close and flashing a small flashlight in my face. all of a sudden one CHP officer jumps to the door, peeking out then leaving the room, the other then flips on the light and says "ok the test is over". takes me to the County Hospital and when I try to tell a woman CHP what happened, she says "i don't beleive that, I know these two guys" and all of a sudden Im being slammed face down on the gurney being held boy 3 CHP officers AND 3 nurses, (i'm 4'10'' by the way and handcuffed)
