Question: polish aluminum?

I'm trying to figure out about getting one side of a 24ft aluminum trailer polished into looking like a mirror.

Can aluminum get all shiny and polished like a mirror if it has scratches on it? They aren't deep scratches but, more like scratches from, lets say, sandpaper.

Answer: Though deeper scratches might not come out it could still be polished. I've seen semi truck trailers and airplanes polished.

You basically start with a coarse polish to smooth the metal and take out scratches then work to finer and finer polishes. There's also a sealer that can be applied so it doesn't oxidize as quickly.

Question: My Chrome Knuckles don't stick out much, my knuckles stick out more, can you explain brass knuckles to me ?

I'm sure they are effective in a fight, but trying to get a direct blow seems a little hard.

For some reason, when holding them ... and directly hitting my hand, I don't feel the tips of them.

I know they are illegal, I'm not taking them out my house.

Can someone explain the correct way of using brass knuckles, and give me a story behind them ?

Answer: Bones areint completely filled inside.
Theres a spongy material.
So when you hit something your bone constricts.
So it doesnt do as much damage as possiable.
And can cause damage to your knuckles.

Brass knuckles are a way you can fight.
With maxium punching power and minumum medical consequesnces.

Id suggest punching for softer body parts and not using them.
Or Use a baseball bat.

About using them.
They are a little lower than your knuckles. So youll prolly end up hitting with your knuckles anyway. And hurting them.
Witch basically gives you no reason to use them.

Chrome plating is a kind of finishing treatment that utilizes the electrolytic deposition of chromium. The thin, decorative bright chrome is the most common form of chromium.

Chrome plating provides a mirror finish to items such as metal furniture frames and automotive trim. Deposits thicker called hard chrome, are used in industrial equipment to reduce friction and wear and to restore the dimensions of the equipment has experienced wear.

There are two types of chromium plating: industrial and decorative. The electrodeposition of chromium is also called Hard Chrome or Engineered Chrome.

There are two types of solutions of chromium plating industries: hexavalent chromium baths whose main ingredient is the anhydride chromium and trivalent chromium baths whose main ingredient is chromium sulfate or chromium chloride. Trivalent chromium baths are not yet widespread in Due to restrictions concerning color, brittleness, and plating thickness.

For decorative purposes, the best solution would be chromium and nickel which offers the best protection against corrosion. It has a mirror finish that only be as good as the finish you put on the surface before you put on the chromium.

Hard chrome is plated in thickness as required to enjoy the very low chromium coefficient of friction, wear or accumulation functional purposes.

Micro-finished chrome will provide a coefficient of friction lower than any other metal when used against steel, iron, brass, bronze, Babbitt, or aluminum alloys. This is done when chrome is used as a bearing surface.

Chrome is a set-up perfect for work longwearing surfaces because it is much harder than tempered steel. It is not advisable to use chrome on chromium. Chrome will resist most all organic compounds and organic acids, except hydrochloric acid.

Chrome plate should be uniform in thickness on all surfaces. Plate must be smooth, homogeneous and free from frosty areas, pin holes, pits, nodules, and other defects.

Chrome plating is not a difficult process, provided that the room was properly cleaned and conditions following are met: Preparation of chromic acid (CrO3) solution, temperature control bath (plating solution), Preparation of anodes Lead (peroxide), method of agitation of the bath (bubbles), control plating current density and duration (controller), Ventilation (for safety) Black chrome can also be plated in the same way and still have similar characteristics to the bright chrome.
