Remodeling, otherwise known as home renovation, marriage does not improve. I know. I just survived a year of remodeling that should have taken six months. Yes, it cost more than we had anticipated. We planned it, but it still costs more than that.

For me, it is less painful to pay more for things that show things like pipes and cables hidden in walls. Okay, there are exceptions to every rule. The toilets are not fashion statements. Spending money on them is like fashion until flushing money from their sewers.

On the other side - one with new hangers - posters can be fashionable. Storage was a problem, but it has always been a problem. My dear husband is an investor. Build it and it will come - and fill the drawers and shelves. Right now the only space storage is empty vegetable crisper of the refrigerator.

Because of my allergies carpet was replaced with the floor space hardwood. I like their shiny appearance. I like the way they are easy to clean. I love my floors so I feel bad to walk on them.

Question: How can I restore/clean the aluminum/chrome of the frame of a shower stall?

I do not know whether the frame is made of aluminum or chrome; however, I have a feeling it's chrome. It has a matte finish and the shower doors are sliding doors. On the bottom of the frame, it looks like the metal has been corroded or rusted.. I tried scrubbing it off and using different cleaners; however, I was not successful. I am not sure if it is just limescale or if it is corrosion. Does anyone have a solution to this without having to get a new frame? Thanks!

Answer: It's polished aluminum. If it were chromed it would be steel undernearth and the edges would rust where it was cut. Is it reddish? Then it is rust, If it's gray or greenish, it's aluminum. Use steel wool soap pads to clean the frame.
