Question: Does anyone know the formula for a good general cleaner, deodorizer, and disinfectant that contains....?

4 ingredients: non-sudsy ammonia, vinegar, liquid dishwashing soap, and water. I originally found it in a pet book because it's great on pet stains. Now I can't remember the proportions of each ingredient. Can anyone help?

Answer: I don't know the formula, but I would not put ammonia on pet stains. It is part of what urine is made of and will make the pet re-soil the area.A good soap and water wash works fine. A dilute bleach solution is good for disinfecting hard surfaces. You can use enzyme based products on carpet and cloth to get rid of oders. Also, do not use cleaners that end with sol (like pine-sol for instance) around cats. It is bad for their health.

Question: which ultrasonic cleaner for carburettors?

What are the considerations when buying a cleaner? What are the best makes? Have you bought one of the Chinese ones from ebay? Was it any good? I bought a little 60w stainless steel one and it is hopeless. I use it as a flower pot. I want one that really fizzes.

Anyway, while Tyler is right on about microbic cleansers for carburettors, you specifically asked about ultrasonic ones. Well, the best one by far is the Omega3 Ultrasonic Discombobulator. This thing rocks! You see the machine sends in these little guys (very microscopic) that move at the speed of sound (sometimes the speed of light but mostly sound, hence the name ultrasonic). They get out their little buckets and shammies and go to work. And this one really fizzes.

But you have to be careful, our little buddies are overworked and under paid. Sometimes they get out. Escape. Then they run all over your house tearin' up sh!t. Once my Omega3s got into the fireplace. (you see they like carbon) and went to town on my logs. First I didn't know what the heck was going on, then I installed a motion activated spy camera and I caught 'em red handed. Those little buggers can move.
