Question: What am I doing wrong? I have a Hoover steam vac that works very well on rugs and hard floor surfaces but?

does not suck up ANY water on my berber carpet. I "cleaned" a 5 x 5 area of carpet the other day with an entire tank and no matter how long I kept the vacuum over an area, it did not put anything in the reservoir tank.
