Question: Used goo gone to remove leftover masking tape from backpack and still sticky?
What can be done? Goo Gone did remove the tape but not the sticky part.
Answer: Rub it with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I've gotten lots of sticky stuff off with them.

Question: What is the best way to clean a Microfiber Couch?
What products and techniques are the best ones to use when cleaning a microfiber couch?
Answer: you can steam clean it, and you can spot clean with any of the standard products...
just make sure you scotchgard it after you are done, to make sure you protect the fabric against future spills and stains...

Steam mops are very fashionable at the moment. They are advertised everywhere and are presented as an effective and "green" solution to clean your floors. While in many cases, these claims are correct, the fact is they do not receive your floors as clean as you think they are.
Let me explain how a steam engine works first MOP.
The first step is to put on clean Microfiber Pad, it absorbs any minor liquid spills and helps distribute the moisture on the floor.
After that, you need water, distilled water is preferred and recommended, but most people just use tap water. Does the choice of water make a difference in the effectiveness of cleaning? No, the only concern is that tap water unfiltered has minerals in it (hard water) can accumulate in the MOP and over time to damage the heater.
After have completed the mop with water you need to plug in and turn it on. It usually takes about a minute or two before it is ready to clean.
Now you're ready to clean and disinfect your floors with ease right? Well that's where the problem begins to disinfect your floor for most major manufacturers (Bissell, Eureka, Shark, etc..) you say that you should keep the cleaning pad in place since at least 10 to 15 seconds on a Single!
Think about how long it will take you out disinfect a kitchen measuring 17 feet by 12 feet, a pretty average size kitchen en route. The cleaning pad is approximately 12 inches wide (actually 10) of about 6 inches long. So it would take approx. 45 minutes to 1 hour to disinfect your soil. This is not really a problem if you have time and especially patience to do so.
All demos I've seen either through TV infomercials, the commercial television channels and online video does not show you the proper way to disinfect. Who is misleading, so when you get your brand new steam MOP house and use it as you've seen it been used, you get not your floors as clean as you think.
I actually think Steam mops are ideal for "wiping" your floors quickly, and to do without products harmful chemicals. The cleaning pads are machine washable and can be reused which is more environmentally friendly. But as far as "disinfection" right? unless you are serious and will take the time to use it properly, may not be worth it.

Handheld Steam

Question: handheld steamers..mine spurts out steam everywhere, gave me a painful burn..anyone else have experience w/1?
Sorry, I should have added that the steam that's spurting out is coming from the hose...not where it should be coming from. It came out where I was holding it and it hurt like the dickens!!
Answer: Only at first. Once the whole system is hot, it is fine. Check your steam vent holes are completely open, run some vinegar through the system if you aren't using distilled water every time. Also don't steam too fast thus cooling off the system. Spurting comes when there's a sudden chill.
Steam burns are really bad. I hope you heal quickly.
