So, not being in the TV as much as most people, a friend had seen True Blood Season 1 on HBO and she knew I liked it when vampires told me I had to do this series when released on DVD. Well, I found a great price on a box and I knew I had to take it and watch. I just read the brief synopsis on the back and I knew that I really want to own this DVD set.

On returning home, I started watching with amazement. I really can not stand how stupid some movies portray vampires, almost as a caricature, characters that are not real. What attracted me to this series and kept me coming back for more were the characters were real and sandy and not as monsters you see in the 1930s, werewolf, vampire, Frankenstein films. They were modern people living real lives. vampires are victims of discrimination and are vampires who drink synthetic blood openly that their way of fitting in.

The same ideas that we have on the old vampire movie works well against these guys too. They need blood, but did not kill for that. There are tons of synthetic blood available in the bars of vampire and socializing too. Some people will not accept them. Others want to jump their bones. There are many meetings between the vamps and ordinary people. This leads some interesting complications in life.

The DVD extras that make a lot of fun to see. I always loved those little "making of" the stories you sometimes. The bonus tracks are too juicy. The books were so friendly that it was not surprising how the show is. There are small things I really liked. The girl is a waitress and has to face all kinds of customers. She visits and advice from friends fairyesque and avoids the werewolves, because they are what some cranky among other things.

I love to read, and the fact they were one of my stories favorite series is a killer. You do not have to be weird for the vampires in love. If you thought Twilight promises and hope that you could go to school at Hogwarts, so is the series of adult you've been waiting for.
