Question: do I have to use the HEPA on my vacuum?

I have an Electrolux Oxygen 3 upright vacuum. Do I *have* to use the HEPA filter on it? It will still pick up the dust and dirt on the floor, right? The HEPA just filters the air being pushed back out and we have no allergies or other issues so what is the advantage?

Answer: I would say you don't, as long as the integrity of the vacuum isn't compromised....meaning it will suck okay without the HEPA filter attached. I guess I would try it and see what happens.
