Hoover Vacuum Bags

Question: Does anyone know of a really good inexpensive vacuum cleaner?

I am looking for a vacuum with alot of suction power that is really inexpensive. I dont want a bagless because I have the Hoover windtunnel and a Dirt Devil and neither one of them have alot of suction. I want to go with a bag vacuum this time. Does anyone know of one that works really good? Thanks

Answer: I can honestly say that I do not know of a good, inexpensive vacuum cleaner. Inexpensive vacuums wear out quickly and don't do a very good job. In my experience, a Dyson is well worth every penny.

Best of Luck to You!

There are Vacuum Cleaners so many choices in today's consumer society pleasing retail kissing, how a consumer can decide on which vacuum is the best vacuum for them?

Most consumers have heard of the Hoover vacuum cleaner. Hoover is one of the major manufacturers household products. Question: How to attach the mains power lead to a Hoover Conquest canister vacuum cleaner?

I have a Hoover Conquest canister vacuum cleaner (Silver colour) which had intermittent power problems (solved by yanking the power cable) but it has now stopped working completely.

It's likely that the mains power cable has become detached internally but I can't see how to access the anchor point for the cable or spool. There are two screws recessed near the hinge of the dust bag lid which I have loosened but the cover over the power supply and fan is still firmly attached and I can't see any other screws.

The cleaner is out of warranty and I intend to use it in the garage so I'm not too concerned about scratches or minor damage.

There are pictures of a similar unit here

Answer: i know this machine! its shite. very likely its the mains cable spool assembly which has cheap contacts internally. The only way to get to em is to effectively gut the thing, which is accomplished by taking off the bag compartment cover and removing all the screws, then flip the beast over and remove 2 screws (could be 3---dont really remember) and then the whole cowboy rig falls into several pieces. Probably better to remove the spool completely and use a couple of screw down wire connectors to reattach the mains. if screws arent present, then its the snap together kind. the rules of repair state...

If it sticks or jams, then force it! if it breaks, then it needed to be replaced anyway....

but, honestly mate. this machine sucks---that is to say it does not produce much of a vacuum. might be better to hit the resale shops and find a good dyson can vac.

Cylinders:

The vacuum cylinder is made for easy transport and works well on upholstery. When you choose this type vacuum, Look for big wheels and a lightweight frame to have better control of the unit. Cylinder Vacuum Cleaners tend to be more powerful than an upright, providing greater suction through the hose to fight against Pet Hair embedded filed upholstery and a hose long term benefit of all debris from corners and ceilings. This model is also ideal for cleaning stairs and easy mobility for cleaning cars and patio furniture outside.

Upright models:

The upright vacuum cleaner is designed for easy transport with a rolling motion on the floor. This type of unit will allow better control on the surface and is structured with a wider area aspiration to cover an area faster than the cylinder models. Besides a more powerful suction, the vertical model is fashioned with brushes to shake the stubborn soil and embedded in a sweeping motion to get up and out of the surface. One of the models easier to maneuver comes with Dyson a pivoting head to clean thoroughly around furniture legs and provides for easy steering.

Models of bag:

Bag Vacuum Cleaners are generally cheaper than buying a bagless vacuum cleaner, but the downside is having to buy bags to use unique for the life of the unit. An advantage of this type of model is that the cleaner version vacuum bag to prevent dust and allergens securely sealed and may be the best choice for people sensitive to allergies.

Bagless Models:

The bagless vacuum cleaner is a popular choice for the economic benefit in the long term no bags to buy. The compartment holding the dirt and debris are easily removed for dumping and can be reused for the life of the unit. In most economies, the model Bagless allows you to retrieve all objects that have been accidentally sucked.

When choosing the right vacuum cleaner for you, remember take into account the weight of the unit and the ease with which you may carry. Most people prefer to keep the floor empty and another on the road to avoid the kart up and down stairs. In addition to assessing the price / performance, you want to select a model that reflects your preferred colors and patterns styling.

Question: Do you prefer using a vacuum with a bag or a bagless vacuum?

I grew up with a bagged vacuum, so I'm used to that. But now I'm registering for wedding gifts, and am wondering which is actually better... what do most people prefer? Which is easier (and more sanitary) to empty the dirt out of? Also, my fiance has allergies... do vacuums with Hepa Filters work fine for that, or does it need to be a fancier one made for allergens?

Thanks!

Answer: Having used both kinds, and really paid attention to friends' and relatives' vacs, I'd say get a bagged with a HEPA filter. Dumping the cannister on a bagless leaves a cloud of dust, and can accidentally be dropped and cracked, resulting in compromised suction. And if you don't clean the cannister often, the dust coating looks gross to anyone who looks at it.
