Electric steamers are one of the most versatile of the kitchen. Electric steamers, in some stores, may also be called rice cooker / food steam. Whatever the name, steam your vegetables and your rice is a healthy way to prepare a tasty meal.

Do you love steam baths so that you feel you can not live without them? If you answered yes to this question, take a steam bath installed in May your house is good for you. Owning one is the ultimate for lovers of steam. By having one in your own home may be easier and less expensive than you think.

There are two main possibilities to install a steam bath in your home. One is the conversion of an existing bathtub or shower. The other is to install a modular steam bath. There are several models of steam bath, which are autonomous and simply need appropriate plumbing and electricity.

Preparation

Steam is a form high penetration of moisture, so any room that has a steam room must be well prepared to prevent moisture damage. If steam enters infrastructure your home, it can cause serious damage.

If you're building a new house, it is very simple question to ask manufacturers to use appropriate materials to make your bathroom steam test. If you install a steam bath in an existing home, you must ensure that the bathroom safely withstand steam.

The basic principles of safe steam bath installation are threefold: prevent steam from escaping, to collect the condensed water without dripping on the bathers, and let the water run. To achieve these three goals, the steam must be completely closed and isolated, it must have a sloping ceiling and must have proper in sewers.

To prevent steam from escaping beyond the steam bath, the structural material should be waterproof and have a vapor barrier underlying thick plastic. Gypsum board or plaster must be specially designed to withstand moisture or bear an impermeable material. The walls and ceilings of the steam room must be covered with an impervious material like ceramic tile or glass. All joints and connections must be sealed with silicone to prevent moisture from escaping.

Once the underlying structure has been prepared, the height of ceilings must be taken into consideration. The ceiling should be less than eight feet high to maximize the accumulation water vapor and prevent cold spots. It must be sloped to allow condensation to slide down the ceiling rather than drip on bathers. A slope of two inches per foot is appropriate.

If you convert a tub into a steam bath, you need to join an appropriate door. Areas of low vapor (the size of the bathtub) should have a narrow space at the bottom of the door to allow air circulation. The large steam rooms can be made watertight.

Even if you install a modular steam shower, the bathroom must always be constructed to contain steam. These units contain steam pretty well but the spread is always moisture in the area surrounding the bathroom. Modular steam showers have the advantage of features as several additional showerheads, high seating, lighting, and even CD players and telephones.
