Question: can i legally drive a car home after purchasing it from a private seller?

I need to know if i can drive a car home after buying it from a private seller. If i get stopped by the police will i get points for driving without insurance. If yes, how can i prevent this. PLEEEEZE HELP.

Answer: In my state you have 10 days with the bill of sale. Your prior insurance will probably cover any new car you just buy. (Mine does)
