Question: What would happen if you turned on a vacuum cleaner in space?

Since there is definitely no air in space,
what will the vacuum cleaner suck in if it would be in space (not inside a pressurized vehicle, simply in space)?

I don't mean a home vacuum cleaner, but what if you make one that would be able to operate in space, will it be able for example to suck in space debris?

-Probably not,
but I'm just asking.

Answer: a vacuum works by producing a negative pressure inside it, space is the same way. if u turned it on in space it would just turn the motor on and the fan would spin, but because there is no air, no negative pressure could be formed and it wouldn't suck at all. the fan would not push or pull air and it wouldn't even make a sound. sound is the vibration of particles travelling through the air, because there is no air in space u cant heat it.

to sum it up, you wouldnt know its turned on at all, it would do nothing.

Question: Carpet Shampooer Recommendations Pleas?

Hi we are going to buy a new carpet cleaner but don't know which on to get. We are thinking of getting a Rug Doctor but are not sure. Is there anything better. Do you own one and have anything to say about it.

I do not care if you just got your carpets done by a pro or if you have any suggestions one how to clean my carpet. Just want to know the best Machine out there. This is for my home but if you can find a good professional one under 1000 dollars that would be great. THANKS!!!
Also I was wondering if the Hoover Platinum how Does that co[pate to the rug doctor and how good is it?

Answer: I have only bought top of the line Hoover steam cleaners. Be sure there are brushes on the unit to clean with.

The steam cleaners without brushes do not clean as well.
