Question: Is a Ford Tempo a good car?

I'm thinking about getting rid of my 330CI BMW. was of money repairs, maintaining it etc. I want to free up cash and get a cheap daily driver that will get my from A to B. I don't care what kind of car it is as long as it's not going to cost me repairs other than gas. I did a little digging. Looks like they had a Tempo Gl, GLS and dx. The one I am looking out is a Tempo GLS and has 33k miles for 800.00. Old man owns it and it's been barely used. This will be an adjustment for me from going from a BMW but I'm not shallow and could give two $$$its what anyone thinks about me driving down the road.

I bought a1993 2dr Tempo ,3.0 V-6,auto, air in the fall of 1992. It was one of the most trouble free car I've ever owned. You're right, they are not head turners, but really comfortable for an economy car, much better than the GM of the same era. I kept it until the summer of 2002, sold it to a young couple in the neighbourhood, and I still see in use quite frequently., Given our eastern Canada climate, the body held up exceptionally well. When I sold it, I really had not spent any money on it, except for brake pads, and oil changes... still had original battery,exhaust system, belts etc. really a good car. Both the V-6 (3.0) and the 2.3 four banger are near indistructible engines. The 2.3 is actually a little better mated to the transmission,. The V-6 revs higher than needed to move the car at highway speed - 65-70mph. Driving it it also feels like a bigger car. BUT a BIMMER it aint.
If indeed the miles are 33,000 , it's a steal at $800 unless it needs loads of body work.

Question: Will the following PC specifications be good for editing movies?

I am using a notebook computer soley for the purpose of running Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 and editing home movies (adding titles, music, FX). Will the listed specifications be enough to edit comfortably with?

Answer: Everything looks alright and will get you ok performance. But if you add to your processor speed (maybe upgrade to C2D E6400) and maybe give more ram (possible 4gb if the budget allows), then you would see much better performance. Also, a larger hard drive would help because you could store multipel copes with different efefcts and such and then delete later but HDD space wont affect performance.

This new tax is to "save the environment" BUT it will raise a pretty penny or two for the treasury too! Where will all this new tax be going we ask ourselves? NHS? Public Transport? New tanks for the army? Who knows but I know this, it will be a tax on the poor as usual and the rich will just cough it up a carry on regardless!
A much better method of congestion control would be one day odd reg plates the next day even! that would instantly cut the daily congestion by half! Working vehicles would pay for Business plates that entitle them to be on the road every day.

Answer: I'm waiting for the tax on oxygen, it's bound to be coming - we get taxed on everything else!

You get taxed on your wages before they even hit your bank account, god forbid you earn any interest on your money because they'll tax you on that too. Then practically everything you buy is taxed, we have to pay council tax and just to top it off nicely, even when you die there is inheritance tax - just how many times do these fookers want to tax the same money??!

It's absolute daylight robbery, anyone else that did this would be thrown in prison for profiteering. Let the politicians trade in their various petrol guzzling cars for a bicycle or let them use public grotty transport - if it's good enough for the tax shafted public then why not them? Two Jags Prescott could do with losing a few pounds, I'd love to see him wibbling to work.
